About the Book
Gijubhai Badheka (1885-1939), a High Court pleader, got involved in the upbringing of his son, leading to an in-depth study of the Montessori method of education. In 1916 he started educational experiments with the Dakshinamurti Balmandir at Bhavnagar. He advocated child-centred education and coined the slogan 'Baladevo Bhava', meaning 'worship the child'. He wrote more than 200 books, out of which nearly twenty are meant for parents and teachers.
