Female Foeticide in Punjab {A Sociological Study}
Description
Acknowledgement

This report on sociological study of Female Foeticide in Punjab is the outcome of the direction Hs Excellency. General (retd.) S.F. Rodrigues, Governor Punjab and Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. I wish to acknowledge my hearty appreciation and gratitude to his highness for showing his deep and timely concern for saving civilization of Punjab.

My warm regards are to my worthy teachers who have taught me the 'know how' of the work.

My sincere regards for the worthiness of Dr. S.P. Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar who reposed his faith and entrusted me with this assignment of social cause and provided all the needed support to accomplish the task.

My thanks are due to Dr. Gurnam Singh, Dean Academic Affairs for constantly taking keen interest in the project throughout.

I express my sense of gratitude to my well wishers, friends, all the members of the faculty, officers and officials of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in general and Department of Sociology in particular, who have contributed in the accomplishment of the project by providing guidance, moral support and encouragement as and when required.

My acknowledgements would be incomplete without mentioning the names of other members of m team, namely Varinder, Bela, Prasanta, Deepti and Pooja who have worked as field investigators and toiled hard by traveling length and Breadth of Punjab to collect the required data for compilation and bringing the report in the present form. My thanks are also due to Pardeep, Alka and Gaurav for their secretarial support.

At the end, I must express my feelings of debt towards all those authors worse works have quoted in this write-up.

The best and fastest service worldwide - I am in Australia and I put in a big order of books (14 items) on a Wednesday; it was sent on Friday and arrived at my doorstep early on Monday morning - amazing! All very securely packed in a very strong cardboard box. I have bought several times from Exotic India and the service is always exceptionally good. THANK YOU and NAMASTE!

I wanted to let you know how happy we are with our framed pieces of Shree Durga and Shree Kali. Thank you and thank your framers for us. By the way, this month we offered a Puja and Yagna to the Ardhanarishwara murti we purchased from you last November. The Brahmin priest, Shree Vivek Godbol, who was visiting LA preformed the rites. He really loved our murti and thought it very paka. I am so happy to have found your site , it is very paka and trustworthy. Plus such great packing and quick shipping. Thanks for your service Vipin, it is a pleasure.
