While talking about my sentiments, actions, mishaps and events, 1 have exploited the softness and stiff his of words equally because I wish you to feel the intensity of the storms of ecstasy and agony through which I have passed, the way I have felt them, so that you may be able to properly analyze my tolerance and neutrality...” For its disarming candidness, the starkness of creativity, gaminess of emotions and factual presentations of his life, this work is considered a unique contribution to the Indian fiction in Urdu,

Gian Singh ‘Shatir’ poet and novelist, was born in Dudiana Kalan in Hoshiarpur District of Punjab in 1936. A mechanical engineer by training and profession who also worked for World Health Organization as Pharmaceutical Engineer for three years, started writing in 1960. His published works include ChandAur Roti, a book of poems and some works of fiction.

Asad Gulati is a well-known Urdu poet and critic. He has published a poetry collection aid literary article
