In the company of Sages, we are pleased any happy to be guided by two visionaries: Swami Chinmayananda, the inspiration behind Chinmaya Mission and Swami Tejomayananda, now the distinguished leader of this worldwide organization. In this book they address the many question that can arise in the minds of spiritual students. Their answer are thought provoking and immensely inspiring. We know that this book will prove to be invaluable for every vedantic student.

Preface

Swami Chinmayananda travelled the world for forty two years expounding the teachings of the Vedas through lectures book and videos. He came to be regarded as one of the most respected of Vedanta. Thousands attended his lectures and devotees often asked him many questions. In 1992 Mananam published Satsanga, which contained answers to many of these queries. Devotees found the original book very helpful in answering question that came up in their spiritual journey and many asked for a reprint. Parts One and Two of this book are updated versions of that publication.

Part three of this book includes responses to questions posed to Swami Tejomayananda during various lectures and Satsanga. He is the current spiritual leader of Chinmaya Mission and has published many inspiring writings of his own. From these treasures, we have included additional material especially from this recently published book in India You Ask, He Answers.

Combining material from these two great Vedantic Masters provides a powerful source of teachings. As you read this book will find that the questions cover a broad spectrum of topics. The answers are addressed to particular individuals, and the responses are according to the level of understanding of each person asking the question. The deeply inspired words of these two men of wisdom encourage us all to broaden our vision so that we may live our lives with greater spiritual understanding.

As vedantic students we are very grateful to be in the company of these Sages, who ensure that this priceless treasure of Knowledge continues to flow from generation to generation.
