Description
Author’s Preface

Information on the use of medicinal plants in relation to children diseases is scattered and most of it is found in books and periodicals, many of which are out of print and are not available in large libraries.

One of the greatest difficulties confronting the research workers is the paucity of authentic information on the identity, distribution, habitat, habit, root, stem, leaf, flower, fruit, chemical constitution, condition of collection and use of medicinal plants. Medicinal properties, some genuine, some otherwise have been attributed to a large variety of plants, more than 1500 in numbers, in different parts of this vast country. The practitioners of various Indian systems in different parts of India tried to utilize the locally growing plants as for as possible and accepted those which were found useful after trial for treatment of children diseases.

This book is in no sense a treaties, and must not be considered or judged as such. It is as accurate and reliable a compliation and fullest collection of verified plants in relation to children diseases. It will fulfil its pourpose and prove a useful aid to the students, researchers and general practitioners. Latin names, English names, synonyms of Sanskrit names of described plants are mentioned in the books. As it is again offered with much appreciation to the professional brotheren.

Authors and prominent works have been consulted, and some times quoted. I offer my sincere thanks, emphasizing that any misunderstanding in the work is my own responsibility entirely. Inevitably in a book of this nature, mistakes would have craft in, and would be grateful if readers would draw my attention so that correction would be made in revised edition should be called for,

Our Nandi sculpture arrived today and it surpasses all expectations - it is wonderful. We are not only pleasantly surprised by the speed of international delivery but also are extremely grateful for the care of your packaging. Our sculpture needed to travel to an off-lying island of New Zealand but it arrived safely because of how well it had been packaged. Based upon my experience of all aspects of your service, I have no hesitation in recommending Exotic India.
