Book Description
About The Book

What is the origin on Lal Kitab Astrology? What is the logic behind its strange remedies? Why the signs of Zodiac have not been given importance?

Why the name of the author of Lal Kitab is not mentioned? Etc., etc., - a number of such questions crop up in the minds of readers. All the books so far published on Lal Kitab system do not give any answer to these question.

Lal Kitab Astrology Background & Exposition contains answers to all such questions. This book is product of a continuous labout since a number of years of the author to explain system of Lal Kitab Astrology, secrets of its principles and logic of its remedies.

This book is not based on any single volume out of the five volumes of Lal Kitab published from 1939 to 1952, it is written by taking into account all the five volume & combining the subject matter in a harmonious way, whereas all the other books published about Lal Kitab are generally based only on one of the Volumes.

Introduction

I was a bit worried before I had written this Lal Kitab. Obvious reason for my worry was that we come across with the remarks, in every 'Lal Kitab', that the book should be read time and again as one does with a novel; so that the gist of the book may be made out clearly. Several books titled 'Lal Kitab', have come in the market but they are more or less the version of 'Lal Kitab'. However, this is surprising that no title comes forward to declare that the title is the copy of such and such edition.

All the editions of 'Lal Kitab' are different in many aspects.

Their pages and subjects differ. Several subjects have been eliminated or altered altogether or amended. Therefore, it is imperative to understand this grand system that all the editions of this work should be kept in view. For instance, the versions of this book that came out in 1941 and 1942, state that the first house is the throne of the lord of the nativity, which is, called the Ascendant in astrological language. This place is indicated as the place of tussle between the person (Manush) and the material wealth (Maya). An enlarged edition was published in 1952, wherein; the word person was replaced by the word 'Rooh (Alma)'. This makes a lot of difference, because the physical body (Manush) cannot be equated with the' Atma'. This is because the word person is the physical embodiment and is concerned with the Karma and Sanskara in the present life. Whereas, the word' Atma' is different from the body and that is netted in the body to use it as a tool for the sake of Karmas and Sanskaras. A recent title of 'Lal Kitab' under the name of 'Aruna Samhita' gives altogether a different version. Aruna Samhita declares the first house as the place of material wealth only.

Similarly, the 1952 edition has considerably trimmed the explanation pertaining to the first house while describing the search for the planet of luck. On the contrary, the 1941-42 editions contain an elaborate description of search for the planet of luck in a poetic form that may be summarized as under: -

If the first house has no planets, luck did not come along with the birth. Therefore, search the 7th, 4th and 10th houses.

If all the four houses of the (Kendras) are vacant, turn to the 9th, 3rd, 11 th, and 5th. In case, these houses are also vacant consider the 2nd, 6th, 12th and 8th ones.

In reality, search all the 12 houses to find out the planets in the houses of their exaltation, their own signs or the signs of potency (kayama). This very important poetic expression does not appear in the 1939-40 titles. Therefore, if we limit ourselves to some single edition, we may perhaps miss the very important elements of this great system of prediction, because seeking the planets of luck is a matter of prime importance.

A notable element in the search for the planets of luck is that a planet, in his sign of exaltation, has been given importance and serious consideration. 'Lal Kitab' also holds the same view. Therefore, the statement that 'Lal Kitab' has divorced the Signs completely and the houses alone are taken for consideration is not consistent with the system of ' Lal Kitab' and is grossly misleading statement. Signs have their own significance in 'Lal Kitab' and I shall stress upon this in this book time and again. This may not look palatable to the readers in the beginning. In my opinion, this is essential to highlight the importance of signs because the signs are as much important in 'Lal Kitab' system as in other systems of astrology.

Several people, who do not have a thorough knowledge of ancient astrological principles and Parasari system, may prepare the annual chart by taking the Ascendant as first house and complete the chart without indicating the signs in each house. This is a very erroneous and misleading method. Therefore, sign number should be written in the first house; and all other houses should be filled with the sequential numbers of the corresponding signs. This will be very helpful in understanding the annual chart. Let us take an example that a nativity has Leo as Ascendant and the Jupiter falls in the 12th house that owns the sign- Cancer. Naturally, the Jupiter is very powerful there and will offer favourable results. Had the Jupiter been placed in the 12th house of the nativity with Capricorn as Ascendant, it would have been in the sign of fall thereby rendering the Jupiter very weak. Consequently, the Jupiter will not be able to offer as brilliant results as in the case of Leo Ascendant.

My disciples have been very helpful in writing this book. I express my heartiest loving blessings to Tantra Ratnakar Vijay Pal, who is a professional astrologer, Tantric and Vastu Shastri; Jyotish Martanda Suresh Sharma, Advocate, who is a very serious student of 'Lal Kitab' for the last several years; and Jyotish Vibhushana Ranjana Mahajan, who has specialized in Parashari astrology and has an earnest interest in the study of 'Lal Kitab', so that they may render valuable service to the society through astrology.
