Role of Homeopathy in Infectious Diseases (Philosophy & Therapeutics)

Infectious diseases can be very much helped and treated by homeopathy. The cardinal principles of homeopathy offer a gentle and permanent way to treat infections. A subtle, single, potent and penetrating signal to stimulate the defence mechanism of body is all that which is required to treat infections. Homeopathy offers all this. In modern medicine the germs are killed but in homeopathy the germs are neutralized or killed by stimulating the soil (body’s natural defence). The first is direct whereas the second one is indirect as well as natural and has a more lasting effect.

In this work the emphasis has been given to deal the microbiology in light of theories of homeopathy. The philosophical section deals with the same. In the section of therapeutics different diseases and their manifesting objective symptoms have been given along with homeopathic medicine.

‘Infection’ has no meaning in homeopathic terms, but still this word has been frequently used in various content. Why so? The reason is clear and self explanatory.

Classical homeopathy of Master’s time talked about minute living entities but this was in light of the theory of Miasms’. The term miasm was of prime importance. In contemporary homeopathic world miasms has been explored to have even more potential and possibilities in comparison to modern pathological or microbiological living entities (micro-organisms). The truth and depth of ‘miasm’ has been established in both the aspects. In the first phase a genetic diathesis has been termed as miasm which has some spiritual values, on the other phase ‘miasm’ is also termed as the whole possibility of growing and flourishing the microorganisms in that peculiar milieu of miasm - the genetic diathesis.

In modem allopathic medicine and theory the micro-organisms have been identified as the cause of diseases (infectious diseases), but infact, it is only one aspect of coin; the other aspect is not talked about in modern medicine. The other aspect is the milieu and germinating possibilities to the particular micro-organism. Both these aspect form the totalistic is the concept of Hahnemannian ‘Miasms’.
