Romantic Holidays In India
Romantic Holidays In India
Description
About the Book

It gives me great pleasure to bring to you the 20th offering from Outlook Traveller Getaways. In seven years of traveling and investigating. We have produced five state guides, eight theme-oriented guides, four guides on weekend breaks from metros, one on South-East Asia and one city guide on Delhi and NCR. Of These, 75 Holidays in Hills won the international PATA Gold Award for Best Travel guide, and the guides 52 Weekend Breaks from Delhi, Wildlife Holidays in India and 101 Pilgrimages won the national Tourism Award for Best Travel Publication In English. We thought it was now time to let down our hair, feel the cool breeze and live (and edit) awhile on love and fresh air. In short, time for some romance.

There’s something in this book for everyone. For lovers of luxury as well as those who are saving up for that once-in-a-lifetime luxury honeymoon. For those who are allergic to the idea of chandelier and champagne and only want to get away from it all. For the young and for the young at heat. For those who want to discover. And for those who want to discover, say, the childhood joys of Shimla and Ooty but this time with the loved one. There is information on accommodation and meals to suit all budgets, but this time with a special eye out for privacy and romance.

You can choose between luxury resorts, timeless hill station, time-tested hotspots like Rajasthan and Goa, and Several unusual interpretations of romance for those who love discovering adventure, heritage or the wilds together. We wish you many years of loving and traveling. And sometimes wonder if they aren’t the same thing.

9 of the most luxurious and dreamy holiday options, including the Oberoi Amarvilas where you can see the Taj Mahal from every room. Taj Lake Palace floating like a mirage on Udaipur’s Lake Pichola and Lakshadweep’s Bangaram island Resort on an uninhabited island among the corals.

10 Chapters on the best of India’s classic hill stations, with many more misty getaways to discover around them. Manali, Shimla, Darjeeling, Gangtok, Ooty, Munnar, the Sahyadris……they all come alive again with options on staying, shopping and fun-eating. Aati kya Khandala?

2 special sections on the timeless appeal of Goa and Rajasthan. Goa’s sands, sunsets, seafood and Rajasthan’s forts and palaces are recapped, even as we introduce you to some romantic hideouts-hurry before they become public knowledge.

Looking for the out-of-the –way? Share the joys of discovering how tea is grown in heritage tea plantation bungalows, go snorkeling and diving together in the Andamans, learn to feed elephants in a jungle camp, explore kumaon from eco-friendly cottages, rediscover the houseboats of Srinagar…….

Plus discussions on hotels; food and shopping; tariff information; route guides; listings of tourist offices, travel agents, hotels and resorts.

Testimonials

Thank you for allowing me to shop in India from my desk in the United States!! I love your website! Om Shanthi
Florence Ambika, USA
I finally got my nearly $300 Meenakari earrings today. They were promised in 4-6 days but it took a week for them to be shipped. Then it was 4-6 days. When I saw them I had mixed feelings. They are cute but it took me a half hour to get them in my ears as the posts are really large in diameter. I had to use vaseline and force them through and then the screw on backs (a good thing) wouldn't line up. There seems to be something inside the screw on locks that act as a securing agent. Any way most of the things I've got from ExoticIndia were gifts and acceptable.
