About the Book

Sri Aurobindo, a great philosopher-saint, was also a poet of the very first order. Moreover, in the early years of his life, he took active part in the Indian freedom struggle and was one of its top leaders. The multi-faceted life of this illustrious teacher and his philosophy have been described in this short biography in a lucid style. 

About the Author

Sri Navajata (1922-1983), the author of the book, was Chairman of the Sri Aurobindo Society and Auroville, and international cultural township dedicated to the realisation of the ideals of human unity, integral progress and research in a model community. He was actively engaged in interpreting Sri Aurobindo's vision of the future and was working for its realization.
