About the Author

Binay Bhushan Dutta born and thoroughly educated in Nepal has expertise in Nepali language. With an experience of teaching at different levels he ahs authored several other books. Presently he is working as a senior editor in a reputed publishing house based at New Delhi.

Preface

Nepali is the national language of the Himalayan Kingdom Nepal. It is also recognized by the Indian constitution as a major language of India because of its dominance in Sikkim and Darjeeling district of west Bengal. In Bhutan too Nepali is widely spoken and understood.

This book is designed to help the learner to have a working knowledge of this great language in a very brief time that too without doing anything like burning the midnight oil or exhausting oneself too much. The most important thin about Nepali is its Pronunciation so the learner should keep in mind that improper pronunciation would kill the sweetness of the language. Also this book has been written keeping in view not only for learning the language but also to guide especially of foreigner to visit one of the world’s most beautiful country the birth place of lord Buddha Nepal.

Every care has been taken to write this book but some errors can be left. Suggestion for the improvements are heartily welcomed and will be incorporated in the next edition.
