About The Book

As the world shrinks into one global village, people ae more and more inclined to easy-way of doing things and so do-i-pads replace laptops, i-pods replace radios and that is all apreciated too. But when it comes marriage there is almost no easy way to STAY married. There is noe and there will be none in any millennium. Staying united all through a lifetime calls for lot of adjustments, patience and a mind that can forgive.

And since the past two decaes our television serials have been attacking on mother-in-law; portraying them in the worst ways as possible, so much that the very thought of a mother-in-law coming into life along with the marriage triggers tension into every bridge. But let us take a different route in this book, and try to understand the woman called mother-in-law and why she reacts the way she does and also what can you do not just to STAY married but be loved by your spouse and his family as well.

Garden Memories, An Eternal Longing, A Prayer for the Love and The Loved have been published in the e-journal and some other collection of poems including: My Dad, A Tribute to Coffe, etc., were published in She had done a PG Diploma in e-Business Management in IIeBM, Pune and M.A. in English Literature from Madurai Kamaraj University.

Preface

Whenever there is a difference of opinion between a wife and a mother-in-law, the real one in trouble is the husband. And some may opt to ignore the mother and stand by wife or do otherwise, but most affectionate gentlemen are always trapped in between these two women for he loves them both and cannot let go neither of them.

And any wife who loves her husband would not want him to be in misery or would at least try to avoid it as much as possible. For that you need changes and adjustments. Well then the first question would be – Why can’t it be about changing the mother-in-law? And the answer is just that it is always easy to would a young mind. A young mind has the ability to analyse and adapt to new challenges rather than the old so let us take up this easy route.

Moreover, as we begin, let me make it clear that this book does not in any form regard anybody as bad by default. In fact, there is nothing like good people or bad people, but they either do good things or bad things. The terms good and bad are themselves relative, so let us not bother about it too much.

However, the book throws light on many possible negative incidents that may happen in a joint family and suggest many ideas to avoid the common mistakes made by all families which thereby later walk into split roads.

Extreme cases are always there, but most of these tips if followed would at least help in creating yourself as a perfect wife though you fail being the perfect daughter-in-law.

I am very thankful to you for keeping such rare and quality books, DVDs, and CDs of classical music and even Dhrupad which is almost unbelievable. I hope you continue to be this good in your helpfulness. I have found books about rare cultural heritage such as Kodava samaj, Dhrupad and other DVDs and CDs in addition to the beautiful sarees I have from your business, actually business is not the right word, but for lack of a word I am using this.

Vana, Australia
I was pleased to chance upon your site last year though the name threw me at first! I have ordered several books on Indian theatre and performance, which I haven't found elsewhere (including Amazon) or were unbelievably exorbitantly priced first editions etc. I appreciate how well you pack the books in your distinctive protective packaging for international and domestic mailing (for I order books for India delivery as well) and the speed with which my order is delivered, well within the indicated time. Good work!
Chitra, United Kingdom

I love your company and have been buying a variety of wonderful items from you for many years! Keep up the good work!
