Raga Bageshwari has originated from Kafi thaat and is considered to be the most delightful, beautiful and lively raga among the other ragas belonging to this particular thaat. This raga is particularly played during the night and generates a mood filled with happiness & romanticism. This is considered to be a majestic raga and application of this raga can equally be witnessed in the core forms of classical music such as Khayal, dhrupad, dhamar: as well as in the semi-classical forms, thumri, tarana etc.
