It is a well known fact that Hanuman was born of divine parents. His father was Vayu, the wind god and his mother was Anjani who had been transformed into a monkey under the spell of a curse.

Working in oil based colours on canvas, the artist tries to project the strength of the mighty Hanuman. He stands tall atop a globe representing the world. He wears shorts, thereby revealing the strong muscular body. His face resembles a monkey but the rest of his body is human in form, barring the tail, which rises up forming a protective circle around him. He wears a simple crown and simpler bead ornaments. He holds an ornamented mace in his right hand in an upright manner with the mace reaching above his shoulder.

The foreground is uncluttered, dark as is the background. The latter however, is illuminated by the sparkling halo around his head; the halo which he earned by his exemplary devotion and service to Lord Rama.
