After this, follows the rendition in Raga Kalavati which is a joyful and popular late night raga, adopted by the north Indian Hindustani musicians from the south Indian Carnatic system. Milind has expressed the moods of both these ragas brilliantly with exquisite alaaps and superb taans. And in the end, Milind presents a devotional song in Raga Jogia with elan.
A versatile musician, Milind Chittal received rigorous training under Pandit Firoz Dastur of Kirana Gharana for 12 years. He has also learnt under the guidance of Ustand Ghulam Mustafa Khan of Rampur Sahaswan Gharana and Pandit Dinkar Kaikini of the Agra Gharana. Having trained proficiently Milind has emerged as one of the foremost vocalists with a sonorous voice and excellent range. His emphatic style is the hallmark of his performances. He has been awarded ‘Surmani’ title by sur singer samsad, Mumbai, and he has also won numerous competitions including all India Radio music completion, India culture League and Kalidas Sangit spardha.
Milind Chittal enthralled the audience by this performances in many music festivals, such as Sawai Gandharva festival (Pune), Harballab sungeet Samellan (Jalandhar), Ustad Amir Khan festival (Indore and Calcutta), Rahimat Khan festival (Dharwad), Karavalli festival (Karwar), Saptak festival (Ahmadabad) etc.
