Mantra Symbolizing deep realities – Om
Prajapati Brahma reflected on the three lokas Bhur, Bhuvas and, Svaha and from this reflection was born Om. As veins pervade all leaves, OM pervades all sound. It is believed to be the greatest of all Mantras. Like the sun produces light from energy in turn lighting up the whole Creation similarly through invoking the mantra ‘OM', the is believed to receive energy that cleanses our mind, body and soul thus enabling our being to Connect with Brahma. Supreme happiness flows through the energy received by the being and OM joyously celebrates and honours all the three planes the physical and mental planes of our existence?
In this album, Pandit Rajan & Sajan Misra present this Power packed mantra in serene unadulterated musical tones, based on sacred Vedic traditions. The album embedded with all the above-mentioned characteristics brings a musical treatment, practice of which restless heart and stressful mind can achieve eternal peace. Meditate with ease & feel the connection with the almighty with this mantra.
Understanding and Analyzing ‘Om’
Om is a symbol of the sacred truths and layered realities that lie embedded in the depths of an individual human being and that of the universe. It is also a roadmap to self realization and a route towards the supreme God.
In Bhagvad Gita Chapter 17 Shloka 23 Lord Krishna has said that the word Om is the sound of the Omnipresent God (Parabrahma = Before Brahma) i.e. Om tatshaditi Nirdasho Brahman Shri Vidha Smrita Bhramhansteen Vedasch Yagnasch Vihita Pura.
Om is believed to bring a centering balancing quality to the daily routine in ones life. It’s recitation is consideration to not only dismiss dullness from the mind body and soul but also bring a clarity of mind and a greater ability to be in the world and selflessly serve others.
From the beginning of the universe Om Tat Shat are being used to signify Omnipresent God as Om. It is said that Om comes into existence with the creation of theorizers. In addition to this in chapter 10 Shloka 25 of Bhagvad Gita Lord Krishna has said that in words I am a letter i.e. Omkar Mahashinam Bhriguraham Giramasyekamscharam, Yagnam Japyagyoshmi Sthavaranam Himalaya.
Among the Maharashis I am Bhrigu in words, the divine Omkar in all yagnas, the chant of holy name, and amongst all the mountains I am the Himalaya.
Since the word OM is believed to be the essence of the whole creation, thus, before coming near God one has to first connect with the vibrations of Om. All senses are recharged with energy through the use of this powerful mantra OM.
The Sunnis reservoir of energy and all creation vibrates with this energy. Ancient strongly believe that one can absorb and attain this energy through the constant chanting of the word OM, subsequently getting much closer to God. Here for the first time we present the mantra OM with Surya Pranam for increased benefits.
Enhancing the ‘OM’ Experience
If the OM mantra is repeated just for the feeling of vibration and calm, having no sense of meaning at all, the experience still can be quite pleasant, calming and balancing. However, if one has a sense of the deeper meanings of the mantra and is aware of the different methods of using it, then the experience can be even richer and more revealing as one progress in Yog meditation.
