Sri Shankara Bhagavatpada, the great Jagadguru who revived Sanatana Dharma in the 8th century AD, established four maths in the four corners of India, the foremost among them being Sringeri in the South. He appointed Sri Sureswaracharya as the pontiff and blessed the math with a Sphatika Linga of Lord Chandramouleeswara for daily worship for the prosperity and well being of all.
Jagadguru Sri Bharathi Theertha Mahaswamigal performs Puja to Lord Chandramouleeswara every evening to the accompaniment of the chanting of Sri Rudram Chamakam, Purusha Suktam, Durga Suktam and Sri Suktam. This is a joy to behold, a sight even for the Gods and spiritually charging for the assembled devotees – an experience that transcends them to another plane altogether where only peace and divinity reign and all worries cease to exist. The Jagadguru has graciously permitted us to record this Puja.
This unique DVD also contains a few rare clippings of the Puja performed by the glorious Jivanmukta Sri Abhinava Vidyatheertha Mahaswamigal who adorned the sacred Sringeri Sharada Peetham as its 35th Jagadguru from 1954 to 1989.
Sri Vidyatheertha Foundation deems it a great privilege and blessing to submit this DVD of the Lotus Feet of the Jagadguru and release it on the accasion of his Shashtiabdapoorthi for the benefit of devotees.
