Teaching around the world since 1982 in 1986 Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was given the highly prestigious title Yoga Shiromani by the president of India. He is recognized as a shining light in the filed of ancient Vedic wisdom and in the application of this timeless knowledge towards the fulfillment of every aspect of life on this earth. He has been the direct motivation and inspiration behind many charitable organizations around the globe and has designed effective workshops for personal developments in many fields of life including business education health and prisoner rehabilitation. The art of living programmes including the healing breath workshop are now officially recognized by the United Nations.

On these recordings the sitar is used as a featured instrument along with the Indian flute and lastly trumpets. The beauty depth and peace evoked by the unique tones and colors of the sitar provide on ideal vehicle for the purposes of these compositions. The music serves to settle any environment developing a gentle liveliness in the rhythms and melodies. Spaciousness in the sound production also provides effective listening with eyes closed for anti stress relaxation.
On these album the producer musical arranger, composer, and sound engineer is craig pruess, who also plays the Sitar trumpet, Keyboards and percussion on the various selections. The featured performers on bansuri are D.P Bannerjee and B.K. Baral. The exciting tabla virtuosity displayed at the end of welcome home is played by A.K. Das.

Craig Pruess’s work reflects his many roles including instrumental performer sound designer singer, soundtrack composer, gold record producer and arranger. A grammy award nomination for his record productions with Sir Cliff Richard and soundtracks for international films such as Bhaji on the Beach have given Craig a high profile in Media collaboration and put him right in the frontline of the new emerging studio technology. His love of the ancient Indian spiritual tradition is given full expression here as gratitude for his years of guidance in the Vedic tradition of India by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar founder of the international Art of living foundation. Craig has trained to become an art of living teacher and with this wife Jenny teaches the healing breath workshop a very valuable programme which brings joy better and enthusiasm to thousands around the world.
