In this brilliant miniature, the artist has relayed the female body through glance, gaze and posture into the realm of voyeurism. She is in knowledge of her voyeurism. She is in knowledge of her supreme beauty and knows the power of beauty. Her curvaceous body is draped in a diaphanous attire, revealing and at the same time, concealing. The turmeric yellow saree goes over one of the shoulders to cover her head before the ends fall down below the waist. Lines of shading in the clothing do not follow the effect of light, but repeat and reinforce the linear definition of the drapery outlines and folds. Every part of that delicate body is adorned with well-designed ornaments. In thin, tapering fingers, she holds a long stemmed lotus, which follows her face movement. She turns her face and the profile shows her astounding features the arched eyebrows, the fish shaped eyes, the long straight nose and a full mouth. The features are brought into sharp focus due to the yellow background of the saree, followed by pastel green.
