The body of the sari is very complex with small self-design in the Rangoli pattern which is the auspicious use of colors in India. These patterns remain subdued but give an effect to the sari. The border consists of a red background with zari work consisting of carved arches.
The pallav is the real thing in the sari with small, closely and intricately woven temple patterns. These include temple arches and carved patterns that make the sari look wonderful. An attached woven blouse accompanies it.
