Kota saris are woven in the small town of Kota in the state of Rajasthan. These saris are woven in crisp cottons with small self checks and nice floral prints. This sari is woven in the Kota style, but with small Chungdi print. Chungdi print is also the traditional motif of Rajasthan, where the tie and dye technique originated. Chungdis are small rhombus shaped patterns formed in the process of making tie and dye.

This Kota sari comes in a green color with small Chungdi prints in white that are patterned closely on the sari.

The border of the sari is woven in the Orissa Bomkai style with small circles and crosses. The border is done on both sides of the sari. The Pallav is in a contrasting red color with small Chungdi print in wavy designs. In between there are small green floral prints.

A very traditional sari.
