Brocades are exquisitely woven traditional saris from the holy city of Benares. Brocades are usually woven in gold and silver threads, but contemporary brocades are woven with normal threads with the same traditional motifs. These brocades use secular motifs, usually very well carved flowers and creepers. This brocade sari comes in a bright navy blue color. The light silk texture of the sari adds a shine and gloss to it. The border of the sari is woven on both sides with biscuit color threads which mark a remarkable contrast to the body of the sari. The border has the traditional brocade motifs of flowers amidst creepers.

The pallav of the sari is woven very richly and with the same biscuit color threads. The motifs in the pallav are intricately carved windows that are part of the architecture of the northern India. These windows too find place among richly entwined creepers.

The exquisiteness of the sari makes it an excellent formal and traditional wear.
