Venkatagiri saris are the simple and elegant cotton and zari weaves from the southern coastal town of Venkatagiri in Andhra Pradesh. The weaves are plain and sometimes checked, both small and big. The border is the most important part of the sari which is usually woven in zari with peacock or floral motifs.

This Venkatagiri sari comes in a beautiful orange color and a soft cotton texture. The border of the sari is woven on both sides. set against a green background, the border has peacock motifs woven in zari threads. The peacock has a great symbolic value to the South Indian life as it is the vehicle of the god Subramanyeshwara.

The Pallav is simple with zari and green vertical threads.
