In the center of the front panel of the kurta is a sun embroidered in a similar shade of red. The wavy lines representing the rays are short and move in the same direction. Inside the sun is the symbol of 'Aum'. The sacred syllable 'Aum' stands for the absolute. It is uttered at the beginning and the end of most Hindu prayers. Aum is considered as the very essence of the Vedas. The space around the symbol, within the periphery of the circle, is filled by zigzag single thread embroidery, which does not have a specific function, but is there for aesthetic value.
The neck starts with a gentle round cut but gradually tapers to form a V. There are continuous leaves embroidered around the neck in the base colour. The kurta will prove to be an attractive companion to blue or black jeans.
