Female Deities in Vedic and Epic Literature (An Old and Rare Book)
Female Deities in Vedic and Epic Literature (An Old and Rare Book)
Description
From the Jacket:

A detailed study of the function, deifications and interrelation of Vedic females deities, on the basis of the original sources alongwith the analysis of the oriental and occidental Indologists is attempted in the present work. Two different but equally important approaches to the study of the Vedas in the modern world have been used. To make it a comparative study, the material related to the Greek and Semantic female deities has also been used.

The present attempt though based mainly on the Vedic literature as the major source of information goes deeper into the history of cultures and civilization. The study of phenomena would be of immense interest of scholars of Sanskrit, history and religion. An attempt has also been made to study the various aspects of the Vedic female deities.

About The Author:

Dr. Guleri is the grandson of Shri Pandit Chandradhar Sharma Guleri, a well known Sanskrit Hindi scholar.

He got his education first in Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, graduated with honours first class first in Sanskrit, Post-graduated in M. A. (Hindi-Sanskrit) and Ph. Namaskar. I am writing to thank Exotic India Arts for shipping the books I had ordered in the past few months. As I had mentioned earlier, I was eagerly awaiting the 'Braj Sahityik Kosh' (3 volumes). I am happy to say that all the three volumes of it eventually arrived a couple of days ago in good condition. The delay is understandable in view of the COVID19 conditions and I want to thank you for procuring the books despite challenges. My best wishes for wellness for everyone in India,
Prof Madhulika, USA
