I have only the Divine to thank for giving me the insight and realization to take up this work for my own transformation after having done the cleansing through translation of the Shrimad Mudgala Purana of Ganesha Yogindracharya Maharaj as a natural next step.
I am extremely thankful to Shri Dilip Wagh, the Poojari at the Shri Kshetra, Moregaon, who performed the Sankalpa and Pooja, both at the commencement and conclusion of the translation. I am also grateful to him for the arrangements made by him for the Dwar Yatra at Shri Kshetra.
I thank my parents, Shri CN Raman and Smt Vijayalakshmi Raman, who have been a warm support in my literary work. One person with rock-like confidence in me throughout my writing till the conclusion of the project is Shri Nitin Bapusaheb Gade. My work received a boost because of him being ever ready to drive me to the Kshetras even at short notice, as most of the visits were based on intuition.
I am grateful to my friends and true Ganapatya followers Svananda Pund Shastri, Babuji Avinash Bhatt, Urjita Bhatt, the late Dundhiraj Pathak, who were all very encouraging during my writing days, particularly the last few volumes while staying at Moregaon.
I would also like to thank Vasant Anant Apte of Anand Ashram Pune who was the first to make available a copy of the original manuscript of the Ganesha Gita when I went there in search of any book on the same topic.
The Shastras, Ancient history, Vedas, Upanishads and other Scriptures contain the most subtle secrets i.e. the highest and noblest truth and propositions essential for the enlightenment of the mind for attainment of Absolute Supreme for which they have incarnated.
The nature of the Nectarous Yogic Science is not written by someone ordinary, it is an independent Science, which enlightens the Advaita Philosophy of non-dualism, written so that one gets a complete knowledge promoted by the Vedas and other Scriptures, consisting of five types namely Shruti, Smriti, Mimamsa, Tantrini and Yogini.
Among the five, the knowledge indicated by "Yogini" is famous as the Yogamruta Shastra - The Nectarous Science of Yoga. Since yoga leads to the actualization of Brahma, by following a sequential Meditative Union Spiritual practice (the practice of Meditative Union) which is the same procedure that is followed for the attainment of the five tutelary gods namely Vishnu, Shiva, Soorya, Shakti and Ganesha. In the worship of Brahma, their unification as a whole can be accomplished by taking support of the enlightenment provided by The Nectarous Science of Yoga.
In the Atma Bhagavat, Ganesha Gita is described as a dialogue between Angira and Shiva. When Angira Muni prayed to Shankara, he narrated in this manner. The complete essence of the philosophical books, the Vedas and Upanishads, were all narrated as Yogabodhini Gita in ancient times by Sri Ganesha Prabhu to Maha Vishnu. Later, the same flowed through the path of Guru Parampara, (the tradition of imparting knowledge by the teacher to the disciple) in the form of ten Gitas, and published on the Earthly plane. Among all of them, the Ganesha Gita or the The Nectarous Science of Yoga instructed by Gajanana incarnate Sri Ganaraja Prabhu to King Varenya, enlightens one in every way and is considered the most excellent of all.
In the beginning of creation itself, the creator of the Vedas, Paramatman created the Sama Brahma, the wielder of power, Maha Vishnu, and appointed him the Sustainer of the Universe. At the same time he created the entire Yoga, meaning The Nectarous Science of Yoga and instructed Vishnu on it. Thus, in the very beginning the knowledge of The Nectarous Science of Yoga was instructed to Brahmadeva, the grand Sire of the Universe by Maha Vishnu Himself.
In ancient times, the Supreme Being, for the sake of play in the Universe, started Creation and for its sustenance managed three qualities namely, Rajas, Sattva and Tamas from which Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar were created. All three of them went to their respective abodes and began working within their allotted framework of powers and duties assigned to each of them.
