When I first came down to Chennai in 1958, I had no wealth, no grade family background or high education But then, had no weakness either! It is this mental strength and courage of conviction chat made me unique in the tinsel town.
Living a blemish-free life when I was surrounded by temptations of every kind in the film industry wasn't easy, but I was determined to live a life like that and ensured it till the end of my career in films.
I came into film industry in 1965 and within a span of 14 years, acted in 100 films with all the top artistes of Tamil cinema. When I was still in demand for important roles, choose to leave the industry in 2001 and focus on my other interests. I lived life on my own terms and never compromised on the same for anyone.
This book carries golden moments of my 40 years in the film industry through pictures, wherein I acted in 192 films and over 170 out of them in lead roles.
