She is presently back in Kolkata, driving social service through her acquired experience. Anushua has faced several childhood traumas but she believes he is what she is today, not in spit e of it ; but because of it.

Foreword

Anushua Chakrabarti ‘s If we meet again, we shall smile, with unruffled virtuosity, symphonizes the melancholy of estrangement with candour and defiance. The Poems conciliate an aching perception of life’s disquietude and with temperate lyricism, Anusha speaks of fond remembrances , intense romances and family turmoil. the sorrow of leave -taking , the death receive resolution and palliation in impassioned streaks of love , forgiveness and belonging.

Preface

Many close friends and family members asked me to write a book. After all – an eventful life - so far. thirty - four years. It depends on whether you call life long or short; or both. There were multiple suggestion like love , trials and tribulations , travel and living experiences , failures, self-destruction , tributes, etc. a well – wisher provide me with his feedback on my blog . “The blog is too personal .” he remarked a Good friend said, “I couldn’t possibility write a book based on few snippets .” I am sure they did not to dissuade me . When I weigh the expectations , the positive highly outnumbered . Today I decided I will write . before you read further I want you to understand how I came upon the idea this book ; and what I went through , when I started typing and never stopped till was finished.

The closest I ever came to writing a book , prior to this was about love. What I thought was love . I read the first chapter years later ; I thought , this cannot be love. I felt that the piece had lost its time ; how cold my writings possibility do justice to the feeling of others? would It not be dishonest on my part to write about love ? for me, love takes many shapes and forms. Yes love does! A perfect cup of coffee. The rains . A helping hand. A teary eye. soulful music. An intelligent argument. a slap on my face .The Desperate cry of a dying being a good book. A perfect pedicure . The list is endless. They seem both happy and sad , don’t they ? it goes back.

All these things made me ask myself ; have I ever truly been n lover ? No. there were so many times thoughts I would do anything for any person. I would give my entire life to see him once . I would give up m favourite dish for a hug. I would fight the world to justify him. Each time, the person went away I knew , I could never be With anyone else . this was it ; I would think . Life surprise us! I would with anyone else . This as it ; I would think . Life surprise s I would find love again. Rather think love just walked in, and life has finally decided to be kind . I would do everything t hold onto love would si out of my hands . “I” never loved anyone . Has been me all along.

One is for all this who loved me, But I have not returned their love. I finally realized ; I never loved . He reason is important and deserves a mention. I never learned to love myself. However all these people deserved to be loved back. While I bid them farewell., It is only fair they see it was not their fault. This book is a tribute to all those kind souls.

“If we meet again , we shall smile” is about love , no doubt, It is not about falling in love . It is about those who tried to make me love myself and hence them. I had my hence and I do not regret missing them. This book would not have happened if I had Caught the bus. Some, I know for sure , I will not meet since they are no more. some are far away. Some are near, ye so far. some are sacred. Some are angry some are hurt . Some do not care anymore. some still love me , which makes me feel I am special. we all are. I want all “ you” special people to come my journey of life , where , I have parted ways in different circumstances. One thing is for sure; if we meet again, we shall smile.
