Description

Preface

The present publication 'PARAMA HAMSA CHARYA' contains spiritual principles and duties of PARAMAHAMSA' (SANYASIN). The author of the text 'Sri Sadasiva Brahmendra Sarasvati' was a born 'JEEVANMUKTA'. He was a scholar in all Sastras, particularly in Yoga Darsan. Being a Yogi - a Sage, 11 Seer, a Preceptor, above all A JEEVAN MUKTA he created many literary works for the welfare of the mankind. However he observed Mouna Vrata throughout his life, but he had communicated his noble thoughts to the public through his numerous literary works.

This present work which is published for the first time is a treasure of Principles of Advaita Philosophy. The introduction in Tamil and Sanskrit given by the learned editor clearly reveals the life history of the author and his other works. This work named 'Parama Hamsa Charya' is precisely describing the qualities of Yathi, Bhikshu, Brahma - Nistha and Parama Hamsa with reference to the various SRUTlS, SMRTHIS, ITHIHASAS, and PURANAS and this clearly shows the vast knowledge and real state of wisdom of the author. It is certain that the Principles described in this text may help every individual who wants liberation from worldly affairs.

The editor Sri P. M Padmanabha Sarma a Retired Sanskrit Pandit of Sarasvati Mahal Library is an experienced Sanskrit Scholar, particularly in Advaita Vedanta (Philosophy). He has brought out many Sanskrit manuscripts during his service here. He has taken much pain and keen interest in editing this rare manuscript in an appreciable manner by giving detailed introduction in Tamil and Sanskrit.

Our thanks are due to him for his sincere efforts in bringing out this rare manuscript. Our congratulations are due to the workers of our Sarasvati Mahal Printing unit for their neat printing. Our thanks are due to the Government of India for their generous grant for this publication.

I bought DVs supposed to receive 55 in the set instead got 48 and was in bad condition appears used and dusty. I contacted the seller to return the product and the gave 100% credit with apologies. I am very grateful because I had bought and will continue to buy products here and have never received defective product until now. I bought paintings saris..etc and always pleased with my purchase until now. But I want to say a public thank you to whom it may concern for giving me the credit. Thank you. Navieta.
