Description
About the Book

People in all walks of life are actively pursuing happiness in everything they do. These essays emphasize the importance of how a moment of thought can transform our daily lives. A moment of thought can allow us to reflect upon what is good in both the natural world and society; that moment can help us see the goodness in everything we encounter and find true happiness.

Introduction

In every life experience, we are challenged to look at both the positive and the negative aspects of our surroundings, and to promote what is good and to diminish what is not. In these essays we see how a moment of thought can affect our state of mind and transform our lives.

A moment of thought may bring us a greater understanding of life so that we can see goodness in our world, maintain our physical and mental health, participate in the betterment of society and the world, and ultimately find happiness in everything we do.

These essays skillfully relate the natural world to our human existence and our existence as individuals to our role within society. The essays synthesize East and West, citing a Harvard University medical professor, various sutras, Confucius, and other great thinkers.

May each short essay provide you a moment to contemplate life, to help you look at life from a different perspective, and thus to find happiness in your life!

Kailash Raj’s art, as always, is marvelous. We are so grateful to you for allowing your team to do these special canvases for us. Rarely do we see this caliber of art in modern times. Kailash Ji has taken the Swaminaryan monks’ suggestions to heart and executed each one with accuracy and a spiritual touch.
