Have a bath before sunrise and wear white clothes; then sitting on the skin of an antelope or on a carpet made of kush, place the image or photograph of Lord Shankar in front of you. You can also keep the Yantra given in this book after engraving it on a copper plate. Then worship Lord Shankar with sandalwood, rice grain, white aak flowers, incense sticks, lamp, the fruit of thorn-apple, the leaf of wood-apple tree and black pepper. Meditating on Shivji, read the shlokas given below and offer flowers.
