Author's Preface

It was our long-long ambition to bringout a text book in Sharir Kriya practical aspect. Ayurvedic students are suffering from language problem along with no books available in English as per CCIM prescribed syllabus. This made us to contribute, little-bite what we learned from our teachers and elders in the interest of student community.

The qualities of compactness and convenience have been achieved by careful comparison of ayurvedic concepts with modern wherever possible by concision of definitions in so far as brevity permits accuracy, clearness and under rounding. To further conserve space and at the same time to enhance the usefulness of this book.

So we feel it is beneficial to incluse the knowledge regarding Ayurveda and contemporary sciences under one book for students, clinicians, acadamicians, who can extract information in a short time with least effort.

We humbly take the opportuniry to pay my regards in the lotus feet of my grandfather Late, Shri Gutteppa Kotur & My grandmother Late, Smt Shivamma Kotur, My father Shri Basawanneppa Kotur & My Mother Smt. Shankarewwa Kotur, who always lessened us to work hard and come forward, who's sacrifices enabled me to grow to approach the hights, set by virtue of their dreams.

We never suppose to forget to offer deepest gratitude who given whole hearted support and well wishes in my life, my beloved younger brother & Saintly nature personality Late Sri Ningappa Kotur & my beloved younger sister Late Smt. Gangamma. may their soul rest in peace.

We never forget the Co-ordination and maintained chear full atmosphere in my house during this work my daughter miss Chinmayi, Bsc. (Horti) and my son Manjunath, BE. (Civil), perhaps you will be the most felicitous persons to see this accomplishment.

Out deepest heartfelt gratitude to the Dr. Mohan Alva, Chairman, Alva's Education foundation Moodbidrai and principal Alva's Ayurvedic medical college & Hospital Moodbidri (DK) Dr. Vinayachandra shetty, who are mentained creative and research oriented atmosphere in the college premises.
