And Now And Here – Beyond the Duality of Life And Death by Osho (Includes Relaxing the Body Mind CD)
From back of the Book
“All our lives we are running. What are we running form? What is the fear? The fear is that on the one hand we are unable to live fully, and on the other hand the fear of death is imminent, present. Both things are inter – connected…Then what is the answer?”
Most of us look for security in our relationships and in our choice of living and working conditions. Underlying this search for security is a deep, instinctive fear of death, which continually colours our lives and drives our focus outward, toward survival.
But we also have a longing to turn inward, to relax deeply within ourselves, and experience the sense of freedom and expansion this brings.
With this book and CD We can start exploring our inner world. Osho debunks our myths and misunderstandings around death and invites us to experience our eternal inner space – now and here – through a guided meditation.

From the Jacket
It is meaningless to try and save yourself from death, or to postpone it by saying that death is in the future. Death is happening every moment; we are dying every day.
In fact, there is virtually no difference between what we call living, and dying. What we call living is just another name for dying gradually. I don’t say think about the future, I say watch what is already happening now.
Osho spoke to international audiences of seekers for over 35 years and his books and audio lectures are global bestsellers. He embraced an extraordinary range of subjects from the wisdom of the world’s mystics to responding to seekers’ intimate questions about every step of the inner search.
Named by The Sunday Times of London as one of the “1000 makers of the 20th Century,” Osho’s unique approach merges the meditative tradition of the east with the scientific understandings of the West. Rebellious and always humorous, Osho continues to shock, touch and inspire individuals in their search for self – transformation.
Bertrand Russell has said that if there were no death in the world, there would have been no religion. He has some great insight there: without death, who was going to bother about meditation? Without death, who was going to bother to know about the secret mysteries of life? One would have remained always concerned with the mundane and the worldly. Who would have turned inward? There would have been no Gautam Buddha.
So death is not just a calamity, it is a blessing in disguise. If you can understand, if you have this much intelligence – that after birth, death is approaching every moment closer – you will not lose your time in trivia. Your priority will be to know what this life is before it ends: Who is living in me? What force? For every intelligent man and woman this is the priority. Everything else is secondary to knowing oneself.
Once you know yourself, there is no death.
Death was only in your ignorance.
In your meditative consciousness, death disappears just as darkness disappears when there is light brought in. Meditation brings the light in, and death is found to be the greatest fiction. It appears only from the outside that somebody is dying. From the inside nobody has ever died, and that is where your life source is.
