Gian Singh ‘Shatir’ poet and novelist, was born in Dudiana Kalan in Hoshiarpur District of Punjab in 1936. A mechanical engineer by training and profession who also worked for World Health Organization as Pharmaceutical Engineer for three years, started writing in 1960. His published works include ChandAur Roti, a book of poems and some works of fiction.
