Landscape painting is a fascinating subject. India has a unique advantage of having a variety of landforms. Each landform has different characteristics during different times of the year and each time it is equally beautiful.
All types of landforms have unique characteristics and require special skills to draw and paint. Hence, it is important to know the various techniques of painting them. It is equally significant to understand the various colours and their properties in order to grasp the concepts of landscape painting. This series of books on ‘Landscapes’ attempts to cover all these aspects in detail.
This series is divided into 5 parts and each part deals with a particular season of the year. In this book, landscapes in the Summer season in different regions of our country are shown. The significance of colours and the different techniques of painting various elements of nature like sky, tree, water, etc. are also explained. This book also imparts some knowledge of the season in various parts of our country.
