Back of the Book

Swami anubhavandanda truly, the name echoes his begin-He is the experience of Happiness-Happiness which spreads like a divine breeze amongst all who have come in contact with him. This experience is now and here! He is suave and witty and equally at home with all; children, young and the old.

A Disciple of H. H. Swami Chinmayanandaji, he had Powai- a Post graduate Academy for Vedantic Studies. He communicates the most difficult of the philosophy in a simple and direct manner.

The intercultural Open University in Netherlands Honoured Him with a Ph.D Degree for his scholarly treatise on Amrutanubhav.

He has to His credit over ten thousand hours recorded talks on the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Patanjali Yoga Darshan etc. in different electronic media. He sparkling talks series titled “Mauz Mein Raho” have been an instant hit and rendered Him the most sought after speaker on Vedanta today.

He is a visiting faculty to the following institutes in India: Kaivalyadhama, Lonavla (the oldest institution on Yoga in India); the Birla Institute of technology and science, BTTS Pilani (A Deemed University of international repute); ahmedabad Mangement Association, Ahmedabad.

He is the founder of the Sat Bhavana Trust, India; Be Happy Inc. USA; Yo Veda Inc. Australia, and Happy Folks of south Africa Whose “Mause Mein Raho” logo reflects his approach to life-Be Happy.

Foreword

These talks were delivered in Prempuri Ashram over nineteen days. The seekers of Truth were well-read and committed to the spiritual path in spite of their worldly involvements. They included all age-groups from teenage to ton age! Their commitment and intense longing for the Truth - that inspired me!

The scheme of thought presentation had been to devote first few minutes for the recapitulation followed by the next topic in the Upanishad for loud thinking. I felt this as a necessity for every seeker to be reminded of the subjective approach during the study and avoid objectification of the Self. This will be evident when repetition will be observed by the reader every now and then. This is called as abhyasa in technical terms. I was extremely thrilled while editing the pages as if it was a new revelation to me!

All the non-English words and names are in Italics for easy comprehension. The equivalent of the Sanskrit words in English is given initially when the word is first introduced.

We have followed the commentary of Bhagawan Shankaracharya in letter and spirit to understand the secrets revealed in the text. Modern day examples were found suitable to indicate and emphasise the point made by the great Master. Although we have followed His commentary, the book is presented in the form of talks and not as a word to word meaning and commentary. Hence the title - Contemplation on Taittiriya Upanishad.

The thought-wise mantras and translations are appended at the end of the book .

The untiring labour and efforts put by Chaity Biswas and Savita Nagananda deserve Self-realization!

This is to inform you that the shipment of my order has arrived in perfect condition. The actual shipment took only less than two weeks, which is quite good seen the circumstances. I waited with my response until now since the Buddha statue was a present that I handed over just recently. The Medicine Buddha was meant for a lady who is active in the healing business and the statue was just the right thing for her. I downloaded the respective mantras and chants so that she can work with the benefits of the spiritual meanings of the statue and the mantras. She is really delighted and immediately fell in love with the beautiful statue. I am most grateful to you for having provided this wonderful work of art. We both have a strong relationship with Buddhism and know to appreciate the valuable spiritual power of this way of thinking. So thank you very much again and I am sure that I will come back again.
