The author of the present book is basically a science graduate from Rani Durgavati Universtiy Jabalpur, M.P Subsequently she completed her M.A. Astrology from Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit university (KKSU), Ramtek, Maharashtra in the year 2005 (Gold medalist at B.A & Second rank at M.A. level). Simultaneously she has also passed with distinction “Jyotish Shastri” examination at Maharashtra level. Thereafter she taught various topics in astrology to graduation & Post graduation students in Triskandha Jyotish Mahavidyalaya Nagpur upto 2009. Since then she is working as Asst. Prof. in Vedang Jyotish Vibhag of P.G. Sanskrit Department of K.K.S.U at Nagpur. She has recently submitted thesis for Ph.D. to K.K.S.U. titled Analytical study of Hindu marriage by Vedic Jyotish. Apart from this she has to her credit a few publications related to astrology in National and international magazines.

Good health is a basic requirement of every human being, irrespective of his/her Caste, Creed or Religion. All material achievements of an individual are of no use if the health is not in a proper shape. Every individual is vulnerable to some or other kind of ailment as a hereditary character, while some health problems are directly related to faulty life style and bad habits. Some of the diseases may be curable while many of them are irreversible. Death is the ultimate truth for every living being, however; every individual should try to live a disease free life as far as possible. I am of a strong belief that many of the maladies can be avoided if they can be foreseen at a proper point of time. Vedic Astrology can be a very effective tool for this purpose.

Ever since l started learning Astrology about 12years back, l have always cherished a dream to do some research work in the field of ‘Medical Astrology’. The present book may be treated only as a beginning of extensive analytical work which I wish to take up in future.

I will always remain grateful to Dr. Shri. Pankaj Chande , honorable Vice Chancellor, Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University Ramtek for constant motivation and encouragement rendered by him to do some meaningful work in the field of medical astrology.
