About the Book

You can train yourself easily and quickly to recognize and utilize this power of your mind to be of benefit to all.

In the present age, it is the power of mind that rules the world, and therefore it is evident that he, who has acquired the best use of the power of mind, will realize the greatest success, and reach the highest places that attainment and achievement hold in store. The man who wins is the man who can apply in practical life every part of his mental ability, and who can make every action of his mind tell.

We sometimes wonder why there are so many capable men and admirable women who do not reach those places in life that they seem to deserve, but the answer is simple. They do not apply the power of mind as they should. Their abilities and qualities are either misdirected or applied only in part. These people, however, should not permit themselves to become dissatisfied with fate, but should remember that every individual who learns to make full use of the power of his mind will reach his goal; he will realize his desire and will positively win.

About the Author

As a child, Zainab Morbiwala had read something that changed her outlook towards life completely. The golden words as she quotes them - "Be kind to everyone you meet, for all you know, they are fighting a tougher battle than yourself", haunted her to find out why should someone fight - with his own self or with some else. Resentment, envy, hurt and jealousy were the emotions, Zainab Morbiwala wanted to understand. What led them to manifest in an individual and why then did it become difficult for the individual to see things as they were and not as he/she wanted them to be or see.

Post completing her Bachelors in Mass Media with specialization in Journalism and then earning a Masters in Literature, she went ahead to complete a Diploma in Human Rights. The quest for understanding human mind leads her to enter the world of words and she has been associated with numerable magazines in India and abroad for content writing. Khalil Gibran amd Paulo Coelho have been Zainab Morbiwala's inspiration since early childhood.

Introduction

Success Just a seven letter word but powerful enough to either make us or break us. If you had to define success, what would you say is the secret of being successful? Would it be having a lot of money or would it just entail being 'busy' with work all the time. Would it mean having countless friends on Facebook or any of the other social networking sites or would it be having your picture on the front page of a business or a lifestyle magazine? Further still, would success for you mean being able to raise a family and have this 'and happily ever after' story? Had it just been achieving one of these goals, than perhaps 'success' wouldn't merit so much of importance in our life but in reality the definition of success changes at each stage of our life.

The definition of success may differ for each one of us but the principles on which it stands remain uniform for all of us and this has been the case since time immemorial.

As shared by a famous performance coach: The best performances have a few things in common- Every top performing athlete has this in common with the other top performers. The thoughts you repeat over and over in your mind, whether positive or negative, will create your beliefs. So an athlete wanting to perform at his peak needs to develop powerful beliefs about himself Every thought you have has energy, and as an athlete, you know that focusing your energy is a top priority. An amateur athlete has three to four times the amount of thoughts as an elite athlete. The elite athlete works for years to control his thoughts and feelings, developing a powerful focus. The amateur has his mind filled with thousands of random, useless and worst of all, negative thoughts.

Peak performance comes in large part by having a self image that is consistent with your best performance. Self image is determined by your repeated thoughts and images. Every day you are creating, reinforcing or expanding yourself image, whatever that is. The best performers are constantly at work to expand their self image to that of the next level, in every area of their lives. When you have powerful beliefs and regular routines, you play from your heart and you have a presence about you that comes from a positive focused energy. Call it mental toughness, call it emotional toughness, call it full engagement - it's all of those, but in the end it's the journey of a great life."

Martial Arts Master George Leonard has a saying that sums this up perfectly: "The master of any activity is undoubtedly also a master of practice." This is well accentuated by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Since the time he started playing for the country, innumerable players have come and gone and a lot many captains too, came and went. What has remained constant over the years has been his perseverance and willpower. The problem with most of us is that we take up new activities and new regimes with a lot of enthusiasm, but we lose momentum and our enthusiasm wanes post a few days of us starting it. Rather, what we need to keep in mind is that regular consistent practice is the mark of a champion.

Our mind remains our most important tool in determining how successful we can be. The next few lines on the life of Achyuta Samata shall register this for us.

Born in a small place where wild spinach and rice gruel were the only means of survival and into a family where the mother was the only elder fending for seven children, education was a very difficult choice for Achyuta Samata. But driven by instinct, a young Achyunta followed the few elderly boys to school. Surprised by his will to stay put in class, the headmaster had to give in. The hunger, the poverty and the will to forge ahead kept him going. Journey from a primary school to high school and then on to college and then university, always with a merit scholarship was a big challenge for Achyuta.

Adversaries of life taught him to take life as it came. Achyuta thought something big for deprived children where each one could study. With all his savings, which came to a paltry sum of 5000, Achyuta started a small Industrial Training Institute in 1993 which has grown into one of the finest multi-disciplinary universities of the country. Today, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences has grown into the largest institute of the world for 20000 tribal children who are provided accommodation, food, health care and education from KG to PG absolutely free.

Participation of world organizations like UNDP, UNICEF, UNESCO, UNFPA and US Federal Government in various projects of KISS proves that KISS has become the most accepted model to empower and create sustainable livelihood through education. Great economic planners, statesmen including Presidents, Prime Minster, Chief Ministers, Nobel Laureates and Social workers come here to appreciate and experience KISS.

Let's take another example here with the story of Kirit Pathak. The story of the owner of an international brand that sold for approximately 200 million pounds is bound to be interesting. And that is the story of Kirit Pathak and his curry paste's, pickles and spices manufacturing company Patak's. Born in Kenya and brought up in London, Kirit assisted his father in running his business from the age of 7. His father started a small snacks shop in Camden where he sold samosas and sweets that were made by his wife in their 6ft by 5ft kitchen. The 7 year old Kirit, who did not know English, would keep two notes in his right and left pockets, one showing the address he was delivering food to and the other of his home to get back.

This is to inform you that the shipment of my order has arrived in perfect condition. The actual shipment took only less than two weeks, which is quite good seen the circumstances. I waited with my response until now since the Buddha statue was a present that I handed over just recently. The Medicine Buddha was meant for a lady who is active in the healing business and the statue was just the right thing for her. I downloaded the respective mantras and chants so that she can work with the benefits of the spiritual meanings of the statue and the mantras. She is really delighted and immediately fell in love with the beautiful statue. I am most grateful to you for having provided this wonderful work of art. We both have a strong relationship with Buddhism and know to appreciate the valuable spiritual power of this way of thinking. So thank you very much again and I am sure that I will come back again.
