This bead which will go on to become part of a beautiful necklace or earrings is made in sterling silver. It is hollow, yet heavy. An intricately worked upon filigreed band brings the two hemispheres together. The pleated wire is made of two thin wires which are wound together two or three times on a charkha after heating. This pleated wire is flattened again to get it as thin as the single wire originally was, but with granular edges on either side. Emerging from the perforated ends are small silver tulips joining hands to form a decorative pattern. Between the tip of the flowers and the central band is a flat scalloped circle, looking like a fringe.
Going by the size of the bead, its the central piece of any necklace which will include, smaller beads, tubular ones and discs etc. to ultimately create a marvel in metal and stone.
