Rajasthani paintings, whatever the base or medium, are endowed with unique richness of warm, primary colours, graciousness of the figure and directness of expression.

On a large marble plate is painted a beautiful woman in the art style evolved at Bundi and Kotah. Prominently placed against a deep green bolster is a full-bodied woman with a wide forehead, a sharp nose, a small mouth and an abruptly rounded chin. The eyebrows are sharply arched and the eyes are fish shaped. That she is adorned in ornaments from head to toe is an understatement. She is wearing a number of hair ornaments; earrings cover the upper lobe, hanging down the lower lobe; necklaces start from a choker to long strings hanging to her waist. What seems like the border of her choli is actually a wide armlet with similar bracelets almost covering her entire forearm. The odhini, instead of concealing, helps to display her ornaments better due to its transparency. She modestly holds an edge of diaphanous odhini in one hand, while holding the wine casket in the other.

This painting on a marble plate has a twin floral border, extensively painted in golden paint with touches of deep green and burgundy.
