Bundi style of painting has always enjoyed a special place of pride and dignity in the art museums of the world. Depiction of feminine beauty in various moods and forms is a contribution of Bundi style.

Womanhood, with all its aesthetic and emotional intensity, is fully reflected in this painting. Shown in sharp profile, the delicate face has a prominent forehead, thin arched eyebrows, almond shaped eyes and a small chin. Her hair is pulled back and styled in a coiffure, portions of it left lose to fall on her neck and shoulders. Her hair, besides being decorated with flowers, has pearl strings dividing it into parts. A head ornament hangs onto her wide forehead, which not only makes her look beautiful but makes her forehead appear narrower. Her nose ring has twin pearls beaded in. Her ears are pierced in several places to fit the earrings and studs. The neck too is not bereft of such ornamentation – beads and pearls beautify her swan-like neck.

The artist uses microscopic lines with a single hairbrush with great skill and maturity. The painting is outstanding due to its extreme simplicity; and effectiveness of its arrangement of colour is charming and interesting.
