As we move from left to right we find a man bathing his buffalo. He seems deeply engrossed in what he is doing. A palm tree bending towards the river is house to many a bird. Sitting on charpoys in front of the huts are two young women gossiping away to glory. Babies in their laps are of lesser importance than the latest village scandals. A shy young woman sits with her head bent as the youngsters try and smear her face with the content of the bowls. Moving further towards the right we see a man carrying a bundle of sticks on his head. The old man with a flowing white beard is a fisherman who has just caught a big fish from the river.
Birds, fishes, animals and humans are all painted in profile. Various activities of the villagers are well-depicted. Akin to Warli paintings there is movement and urgency in each action. Indeed, there is no trace of stillness in either line or colour.
