The eight-armed Durga looks resplendent in the ornaments she wears and the weapons she holds. The fiery halo around her head, together with the numerous arms, encompass her enchanting body. She looks picture perfect in her role as the supreme protector-warrior-victor goddess. The expression and her pose give evidence of ferocity associated with killing a demon. Her trident, however, is aimed at Mahisha and with one hand muzzles the buffalo.
