The artist has painted scenes of Krishna's birth and thereon. There is not only visual narration but the artist writes it scenewise, describing each event.
This indicates the artists advance knowledge and progression. This painting starts with scene numbered nine implying that there are prior scenes on a previous painting. Scene nine starts from the top left corners which shows revellers celebrating the birth of Krishna. Scene ten moves right, depicting Nand and Yashoda giving away gifts to show their joy and gratitude. Scene eleven moves down where Putna shows appreciation for the beautiful baby and expresses a wish to hold him close to her breast. She wanted Krishna to suckle her poisoned breasts and thereby killing him. Krishna, the divine child, legs at the nipple till she expresses her true form and dies at his hands.
The artist has made a colourful painting but the diversion of scenes is very interesting. The artist wants to make clear what she wishes to express through painting by adding a descriptive note.
