Art is an expression of impressions. Each of us has in him, a little of a poet, a painter, a sculptor, and a musician. Art is, for little children, a language, a form of expression. Art it may be called, but its purpose is not primarily aesthetic. The child draws what he knows, not what he sees. Child art is the toughest of arts since the heart directs the hand, unaffected by external influences or intentional values.

Each paint blot, each dot is interpreted according to his individual interest, but they also suggest a meaning of some sort to the observer. Here is a painting of a man and a woman, wherein, the former is transformed into the image of Lord Rama by a simple inclusion of a crescent moon on his forehead and a crown. the woman on the other hand is naturally Sita. Stylized birds surround the figures. The remaining space is occupied by decorative dots. When we notice the care with which the drawing been finished and the effort which has apparently been expended upon them, we realize its worth.
