Vishnu happens to be one of the most prominent Brahmanical Hindu gods. Lakshmi, his consort, represents prosperity and bounty. Very often Vishnu is seen in numerous iconic manifestations. Here Lakshmi is seen in various forms, one more alluring than the other.

Seated on the coils of Seshnag, the king of the serpent race or the evermoving nagas, Vishnu and his consort present a picture of undying love and harmony. The four armed Vishnu, besides holding the attributes, lovingly supports Lakshmi by the waist. The menacing heads of the serpents form a protective hood over the divine couple.

Within concentric circles are sections depicting Lakshmi in her eight forms (Ashta-Lakshmi). The space beyond the circles show peacock couples, again depicting union and love between the male and female elements in nature.
