Ganesha is the most stocked upon god among all the other Hindu deities, as he is favored by all. He is the first one to be worshipped before starting any rituals or ceremonies.
Despite being a portly figure, he is depicted in a slender looking statue with his characteristic elephant trunk. Shaivite tilak on the forehead indicates his parentage that he is the son of Shiva. Sitting on a low level circular pedestal, wearing a unique dhoti, structured like a leaf with appropriate cuts and curves. Left hand holds a laddoo and right hand rests in his significant gesture of blessing and fearlessness. The aureole at the back blooms like a flower with gracious lines flowing outwards to form a sassy pattern. Ganesha’s head forms the centre of this blooming flower like aureole.
This statue is very different from the usual run-of-the-mill handled Ganesha statues. It is superbly conventionalized with great color combination and shows supreme attraction towards flora. It forms the rarest article to be found in any house, office or place of worship.
