On cool, cool, white cotton sheets are repetitive floral vine patterns with fully blossomed flowers of different variety and leaves of different sizes. Working in unusual colours of aqua green and mauve, the coiling vines with dainty stems gracefully cover the entire field. These kinds of non-directional designs, which have no implicit top or bottom, left or right, are commercial favourite. Housewives prefer this design as it saves them the trouble of checking which side faces down.
The border pattern is interesting. Most borders have the elements of the field design but this one here has a pattern of its own. The Islamic kalga motif finds a prominent place in the triple border. It is seen in various sizes and shapes, positioned in such a manner that it seems harmonious. Besides the kalga, the rest of the border is printed with floating flowers and leaves. The base of the border is green with mauve and white forming the pattern. The dividing line between the three borders is mauve so no one colour can complain of neglect or gloat of prominence.
