This off white bedsheet has small plant motifs set all over in a formal layout of grids and diagonals. It tends to be a static design, seeming anti-thetical to the delicate organic lines of petals and leaves - though when the motif is sufficiently stylized and simplified, orderly repetition becomes more active in the image than the form of the flower itself. A tri-flower plant with intertwining stems and folding leaves is the motif that is the subject of discussion. Enclosing the field of small plants is a border of ochre colour bearing maroon flowers and bottle green leaves. The leaves are long, thin and twisting, giving a lyrical quality to this border. The 'bel' runs the four sides without a break. A broad white band rests between the two ochre borders. This one has horizontally placed plants with leaves at the base, straight, vertically rising stems but drooping flowers.
The colour scheme includes just ochre, maroon and green but even with the limited colours, this bedsheet manages to spread brightness of colour and pattern!
