Deep maroon and mud brown triangles automatically forming into squares form the field of this bed sheet. Each triangle has a straight stitch like impression, giving a false look of kantha stitch of Bengal. These small lines are in a shade lighter than the base. The light and dark of colours give a non-static look to the otherwise staid pattern. Black plays the role of distinctively dividing each triangle. The wide border has a curious mix of various colours and small geometric motifs. The border is divided into narrower stripes with triangles (thikona), squares (chaukhana), dashes (jeera) and lozenges on each. These stripes are repeated till the edge of the sheet.
This sheet forms a set with two matching pillow covers. Sporting a pattern similar to the sheet, the middle part has triangles joining together to form squares. The major portion of the pillow cover, though, is covered with the border design of stripes with geometric designs. As a matter of information, triangles and squares are ancient and potent motifs, regarded as symbols for cosmic order. Spread and fit into the cosmic plan!
