The entire pictorial space is used to highlight feminine elegance and grace. The lady portrayed is self engrossed in her thoughts. She rests her chin on the raised hand. The elbow too is resting on the probable parapet of the terrace, which like the other objects is missing in the forefront and the background. The posture lends grace to the figure. Her head is covered by the yards of odhini. The dark wavy hair peep from within, held in check by the head ornament. The broad forehead has a large red dot in the middle of the arched eyebrows. The slanting eyes are attractive not just because of the shape but the emotions reflected in them. The shapely nose has a ring passing through the left nostril. The lips, though not shaped perfectly, are painted red. She wears jewellery that eschews delicacy and is bulky yet rich.
Not wanting to distract the viewer from the feminine beauty, the artist chooses not to clutter the backspace and leaves it dull green.
